Injury Traffic Collision
Beaumont, CA — On Monday, January 19, 2015, at approximately 7:17 p.m., the Beaumont Police Department received a report of major injury traffic collision at the intersection of Oak Valley Parkway and Beaumont Avenue.  Officers arrived within minutes and determined that an adult male pedestrian was riding a skateboard northbound on Beaumont Avenue when he crossed Oak Valley Parkway and was struck by a Kia van that was traveling eastbound on the street.  The intersection was partially closed while emergency personnel attended to the pedestrian who was then transported to a local area hospital for treatment of major, life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the accident is currently under investigation. Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in this incident.  Anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to contact the on-duty Watch Commander of the Beaumont Police Department at (951) 769-8500. Information can also be sent to crimetips@beaumontpd.org or reported anonymously to WeTip at 1-800-78-CRIME.
